Getting to an appointment isn't always easy. If mobility, health, distance or anxiety makes travelling difficult, we'll come to you. It's the same friendly service, the same qualified audiologists and the same thorough care - just in your own home.

 

Who home visits are for

 

There's no strict criteria. If getting to us feels like too much, that's reason enough. People who find home visits helpful include those with limited mobility or chronic health conditions, anyone recovering from illness or surgery, people living in residential care, or who live rurally and find the journey impractical, and those who simply feel more comfortable at home than in a clinic.

 

If you're arranging something for a loved one rather than yourself, that's absolutely fine too - just get in touch and we'll talk through what would work best.

 

What we can help with

 

We bring everything we need with us, so there's very little a home visit can't cover:

• Hearing consultations and assessments

• Hearing aid recommendations, fitting and set-up

• Fine-tuning and adjustments

• Aftercare, cleaning and maintenance

• Troubleshooting if something isn't working as it should

• Earwax removal

 

What to expect

 

We keep it relaxed and unhurried. We'll start with a chat about what you've been noticing, whether that's struggling with conversation, the TV being too loud, or finding group settings difficult. From there we'll check your ear health, carry out your hearing assessment if needed, and explain your results clearly with plenty of time for questions.

 

If there are family members or carers who'd like to be present, they're very welcome. We'll make sure everyone leaves feeling informed and confident about any next steps,  and as always, there's no pressure to make any decisions on the day.
